My twin sister, Tammy, and I were happy, healthy, and active children, yet there were symptoms and signs of MS as young as 10 years old. We both had terrible tingling and pain in our legs after playing as kids, and as teenagers, we found it difficult to complete the warmup running laps around the football field on our tennis team.

Welcome to Our New Patient Navigator, Kathryn Hastings
Kathryn Hastings joined the MSCA team as our Patient Navigator in November 2021. She is excited to fill this newly created role helping recently diagnosed patients by providing education, resources, and emotional support.
Kathryn earned her nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2011. She began her career at Piedmont Hospital Atlanta on the neurological unit alongside Dr. William Stuart, Dr. Douglas Stuart, Dr. Jeffery English, and Dr. Lawrence Seiden. Kathryn was thrilled in August 2019 when the opportunity presented itself to work with them again at MSCA as a telephone triage nurse. She is ANCC board certified as a Geriatric Nurse and has nine years of experience in neurology, oncology, and women’s health.

Dr. Jorge Juncos, MD
Dr. Juncos is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and has been practicing neurology for over 40 years. He joins us from Emory University School of Medicine in which he served as associate professor and neurologist specializing in Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder. Dr. Juncos is available to provide care to patients with Parkinson's and Movement Disorders and is accepting new patients.

Ivanna Martinez has been in the beauty industry as a professional makeup artist for 10 years. She has worked with multiple brands and companies including MAC, Sephora, NARS, and Anastasia Beverly Hills. She began having symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis including tremors, stiffness in her hands, pain, numbness, and lack of coordination in 2013 and was diagnosed with MS in 2018.
She overcame these obstacles through trial and error so that she could apply makeup every day, regardless of her MS. Join her for tips, tricks, and tutorials on how to apply makeup when you are experiencing tremors.
We are thrilled to offer this event at no charge and in partnership with the Parkinson's Foundation.

We love to support our partners in care and were so happy to see such a great turnout for the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia.
